TEHRAN -- President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has sent a letter to Qatari Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani.

Iranian Health Minister Marzieh Vahid-Dastjerdi handed Ahmadinejad’s letter to Qatari Crown Prince Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani during a meeting in Doha on Friday.
Vahid-Dastjerdi announced Iran’s readiness to promote cooperation with Qatar in various spheres, particularly in the area of medicine.
The crown prince asked Vahid-Dastjerdi to deliver the warmest greetings of the Qatari emir to President Ahmadinejad.
He also described Tehran-Doha ties as “deep-rooted” and welcomed increased cooperation between the two countries
